SpeedCenter Fantasy League 2001 Driver Recruiting Prices

Prices listed here include overall and minimum team operating expenses. Your starting budget is $9 million. You can exceed that by as much or as little as you want, but if you do, your team will be charged 1% interest per race on your negative balance. Also, watch out when adding those discounted spare parts to your team - most fantasy teams buy too many spares. Check last year's race results to see how often certain team owners had to get a new engine or a new chassis.

This year, you need a mechanical "Spare Parts Kit" instead of the usual spare engines we've offered in past seasons. Please check the General Rules page regarding the new costs system and to see what types of DNF's are and are not covered by the Spare Parts Kits.

The drivers listed here are assumed to have rides in cars that will be present at all events this season. Just like in previous years, when there is a substitute driver in a given car number, that driver becomes the new name associated with that ride. The #55 car, for example ran all season in 2000, but had Brian Herta behind the wheel for a few events while Tony Kanaan was injured. It should be pointed out that Kanaan owners received the payouts for Herta's performance, but Herta owners were charged a "no-show" fee because Herta's #77 car was vacant. It was a strange situation not likely to happen again, but we can't predict anything in this series anymore!

No driver changes will be allowed once the season starts, so do your math now - you'll have to live with it throughout the 21 race season!

* "Total Startup Cost" is the combined cost of driver with one engine and one chassis, theminimum required to field an entry. If you add spare parts to avoid higher prices later, try to keep the total below your $9,000,000 budget, otherwise you will begin the seasonpaying interest. The choice of the right amount of spare parts is as important as thechoice of drivers who produce good revenue compared to their pricing in this table.
