Andrea Montermini:
"I was very, very shocked and sorry to hear of this terrible tragedy. Tony and Shirley Bettenhausen were very
special people to me.
"When I tested for the team last summer, I stayed with Tony and Shirley for one month at their Indianapolis home.
The whole family was incredibly hospitable and we shared many fond memories. I was very much looking forward to
working with Tony and his team again some day. He was a true racer and a great friend. There are really no words
to express our sorrow at a time like this. My heart and thoughts go out to the families and friends of Tony and
Shirley, Russ Roberts, and Larry Rangel."
