Eurosport To Continue IndyCar Coverage

IndyCar and ESPN International reached an agreement to allow Eurosport to continue its live, prime-time coverage of IndyCar in 1996 and 1997. Eurosport will carry every event, including the inaugural U.S. 500 on May 26 at Michigan International Speedway. The network broadcasts the races in English, French, German, Dutch and Swedish.

"This agreement underscores IndyCar's increasing popularity worldwide,'' said David F. Zucker, senior vice president and managing director of ESPN International. "The live, prime-time coverage on Eurosport will provide the millions of racing fans in Europe with the best in motorsports action.''
