Toronto Return For Goodyear

Scott Goodyear, who was planning to rejoin to the PPG Indy Car World Series this weekend for the Medic Drug Grand Prix of Cleveland, has pushed back his return to the Molson Indy Toronto on July 14.

Goodyear, missing from the series since fracturing a mid-back vertebra at Rio in mid-March, opted to bypass this week's event because he had not had an opportunity to get in some testing in his Valvoline DuraBlend Reynard Ford. He did compete recently at the 24 Hours at Le Mans and his team finished third overall.

"We were hoping to race at Cleveland, but between my schedule for LeMans and the team's race schedule, we haven't been able to get any testing in yet," said Goodyear, who will test following the Cleveland race. "We'll be ready for the Molson Indy. Since I was born and raised in Toronto, it's kind of fitting that we make the return there anyway."
