Former IndyCar Owner Gagliano Dies
In Industrial Accident

DETROIT (Oct. 30, 1996) – Funeral services are scheduled for Friday for former IndyCar owner Gino Gagliano, who died Monday in a local industrial accident.

The funeral procession will begin at 9 a.m. from the Wujeck-Calcaterra Funeral Home in Sterling Heights, Mich. and culminate with a 10 a.m. Mass at the San Francesco Catholic Church.

Gagliano, 40, joined the PPG Indy Car World Series in 1990 when the Warren, Mich. resident formed Nu-Tech Motorsports and based it out of his hometown. The following year he formed a partnership with Dale Coyne Racing. Among the drivers who served under Gagliano’s guidance were Guido Dacco, Dennis Vitolo, Tony DeTommaso and Jay Hill.

Gagliano is survived by his wife, Kathy, and daughters, Rose and Michelle.
