Indycar to Germany?

"Lausitzring" will feature oval track

MADISON, WI (April 13, 1996) - German television reported the start of construtction at the future site of the "Lausitzring." The interesting aspect of the new venue is the inclusion of an oval track, which is highly unusual in any form of recent European racing.

SpeedCenter will continue to investigate this possible future international Indycar site. Rumors about an Indycar race in 1998 could not be confirmed.
