Big Mo Turns In Fast Time At PIR
Several teams were testing today at Phoenix International Raceway withPacWest driver, Mauricio Gugelmin, turning in the fastest time of the daybefore minor electronics and gearbox glitches ended his day. Big Mo turneda 20.5 second lap followed by Herta at 20.6 seconds. Mo's teammate, MarkBlundell, pulled a 20.9 second lap and Andre Ribiero could only manage a21.9 second lap in his Honda powered machine.

Hogan To Brix-Comptech?
Rumors have surfaced that Carl Hogan is in the final stages ofnegotiations to run the team under the Hogan Racing banner. The rumor-mill also churned out that the team will use Reynard chassis, Firestone tires and Mercedes-Benz engines. Dario Franchetti is said to be on the hot list for the ride. Franchetti is a former Mercedes Junior team member.
