Vehicles on display at Cobo Center

CART Online (January 17) — The North American International Auto Show atCobo Center in downtown Detroit is open through Monday, January 20, and PPGCART World Series fans will find several items of interest on the showfloor.

Several manufacturers are promoting there PPG Cup involvement at theirexhibits, including Honda and Toyota.

Honda features a version of Jimmy Vasser's Target/Chip Ganassi RacingReynard Honda, complete with the champion's No. 1. Inaddition to the race car, the Honda display also features a detailedinformation board about the manufacturer's PPG Cup program.

Toyota's exhibit features a large motorsports display, most of it dedicatedto the manufacturer's PPG Cup involvement. There, fans can see the sameToyota Supra PPG Pace Car used to pace Toyota-sponsored races in the PPGCART World Series. Toyota's exhibit also includes a unique panoramic videoand slide display complete with audio information about Toyota teamsArciero-Wells Racing and Dan Gurney's All American Racers. The CART SafetyTeam's Toyota Trucks are also profiled at the display.

Finally, Lotus is also getting into the CART act at the auto show. A PPGPace Car version of a Lotus Esprit can be seen at the show.

The North American International Auto Show is open today (Friday, January17) from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tomorrow, the public has access from 10 a.m.to 10:30 p.m. while show hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. the last two days,Sunday and Monday.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for seniors 65 and over. Children, 12 andunder) are free if accompanied by a parent. Otherwise, admission is $4.
