Brian Robertson, the most consistently successful Atlantic team owner since the 1980's, will move up to CART in 1997 with driver, Paul Jasper Jr. BDJS team (family member initials) will probably not be ready for the season opener at Homestead, but hopes to make its debut by Round 3 at Long Beach, California.

Jasper was third overall in the 1996 Atlantic series in his first season with the BDJS team and was awarded Rookie Of The Year honors.

Roberton's BDJS team has won several Atlantic titles with drivers such as Michael Andretti (1983) and, most recently David Empringham (1994).
