Boesel signs with Philip Morris - Emerson Fittipaldi On Track Again

Boesel signs with Phillip Morris
Raul Boesel, Brahma Sports team driver, has signed with the Chocolate Lacta Industry, owned by Philip Morrisin Brasil. The Lacta industry, who has 4,500 employees and was founded in1912, makes candies well known by Brasilians and has five of the top-selling products in Brasil.

Boesel has previously been sponsored by Philip Morris in 1994 when he took part inthe Marlboro Brasilian Team. He is presently, after Emerson Fittipaldi'sabsence, the most experienced Brasilian driver in the PPG CART World Series. Thesponsorship dollars was not available at press time.

Emerson Fittipaldi On Track Again
Emerson Fittipaldi will be back to thetrack this June in England. After 11 months without stepping into aracing car, Fittipaldi will be at the wheel of a Penske car for ademonstration to be held in the traditional Goodwood circuit, England. "Thiswill be the first time I stepped into a cockpit since the Michigan 500accident," said Fittipaldi.

Regarding his feelings during Homestead, Fl. race he declared, "There were a few times Ifelt so excited like the moments before the start of the race."

The two-time Formula One champion; two-time Indy 500 winner and Indycar champion commented on announcing the start of the race at Homestead, "I was like a fish out of the water."

Fittipaldi also said that he has going to the Miamigo-karting track only to support his daugther Juliana. "The stress andvibration in a go-kart chassis is uncompatible with my medicalrecommendations," he said.

There were (unfounded) rumors that Emmo would actually drive a go-kart that weekend.

Regarding his plans to race at Le Mans, Emmo said, "I don't have the physical stamina to compete in sucha race. Auto racing is very physically demanding," commented the Brasilian champion.

When asked when he would be ready to race again, Fittipaldi did not wish to comment.
