First ever one-mile oval Race for Italian

The Bosch SparkPlug Grand Prix Presented By Toyota will be Max Papis' first visit tothe one-mile Nazareth oval. With a racing background that focuses onroad and street courses (history includes F3000, F3, F1, and IMSAWorld SportsCars), Papis has limited oval track experience. In fact,he has only driven on one oval, the 1.517-mile Homestead circuitduring Spring Training and the Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami PresentedBy Toyota.

Max about the Bosch Grand Prix presented by Toyota:

"What I know about Nazareth is what I have learned fromdriving the track on my computer game. It is not the same as thereal thing but it is better than nothing. We still have a long wayto go in the development of the RV8B engine and everyone from theArciero-Wells/MCI Racing team, Toyota, and Toyota Racing Developmentis working very hard on this. (regarding oval track racing) I amdefinitely more experienced on the road and street circuits but Ilike the challenges of driving on an oval. Oval track racing isstill new to me, but I felt very comfortable at the Homesteadcircuit. When you drive on an oval track it is very high speed andexciting, and the experience is teaching me new things as a driver."
