Worldwide viewership increased in '96 by 7%

WHAT:The PPG CART World Series was comprised of races in four countries and on three continents in 1996. Some of the world's leading race car drivers participate in the series including PPG Cup champions Micheal Andretti, Boby Rahal, Al Unser Jr., and Jimmy Vasser, plus PPG Cup race winners Gil deFerran, Adrian Fernandez, Scott Pruett, Andre Ribeiro, Paul Tracy and Alex Zanardi. In 1997, CART is conducting a 17-race series.
