Agreement renewed in Bud's hometown

Budweiser, the King of Beers, and Championship Auto Racing Teamstoday announced that they have renewed their sponsorship agreementwhich designates Budweiser as the Official Beer of CART.

This announcement comes just before the Inaugural CART race inBudweiser's hometown of St. Louis, Saturday's Motorola 300 at GatewayInternational Raceway. The multi-year agreement is an extension of analready existing partnership between the top open-wheel racing seriesin the United States and America's top-selling beer.

"Budweiser first became a CART official sponsor in 1995," said AndrewCraig, CART president and CEO. "the true test of any sponsorrelationship is if the partners get back together and the end of thefirst term. We are delighted that Budweiser sees the value of itssponsorship with CART and has renewed the relationship.

As an Official Sponsor of CART, Budweiser is the official beer andalcohol malt beverage of CART. Budweiser will continue to utilizeCART marks and other designations to use in Budweiser advertising andpromotion on packaging, point-of-sale displays and public relationsprograms. Budweiser has additional marketing rights, includingadvertising options for television, radio, in-car cameras and otherexclusive benefits. Budweiser also serves as the sponsor of theBudweiser Accelerator Award. A $1,000 prize that goes to the CARTdriver who registers the greatest improvement in his time duringqualifying.
