Still being evaluated by doctors

Team Penske driver Paul Tracy plans to practice and qualify for this weekend's Budweiser/G.I. Joe's 200 at Portland International Raceway (ESPN on Sunday, June 22 at 5:00 p.m. ET) provided he passes a re-evaluation on Wednesday, June 18, at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Tracy withdrew from the ITT Automotive Detroit Grand Prix, June 8, after experiencing benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) associated with severe cervical muscle spasms, as diagnosed by CART Director of Medical Affairs, Dr. Steve Olvey.

On Monday, June 9, Tracy was evaluated at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix by Dr. Joseph Drazkowski, who conducted an MRI examination of the neck and brain which was within normal limits.

On Tuesday, June10, Tracy went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for consultation with Dr. Ian D. Hay and Professor T.J. McDonald on BPPV. Tracy then underwent the Canalith Repositioning Procedure, which is a series of maneuvers of the position of the head to help relieve the BPPV.
