Engine program is stepping forward veryfast

Max Papis, Driver Of The No. 25 MCI Racing Toyota RV8B/Reynard 97,Comments On His First Race at The Burke Lakefront Airport:

"All Ireally know about Cleveland is that it was a very exciting race lastyear and my friend Alex Zanardi almost won. I think it is going tobe a tough race because it is a flat circuit with a lot of bumps. Myengineers are going to need to concentrate and to come up with aset-up that will give us the best traction we can. I think it will bea tough race and a tough track for the car."

Max Papis and Arciero-Wells Is confident about recent developmentswith the Toyota powerplant:

Over the past few PPG Cup events theArciero-Wells team has seen an improvement in the performance, reliability, and availability of the Toyota RV8B powerplant, thusallowing the team more opportunity to test and gather valuable data. The team's schedule for the month of July includes three PPG Cupevents and eight test days, including tests at Mid-Ohio Sports CarCourse, Michigan International Speedway, Sebring, and Road America.

Max Papis said about the recent step forward:

"Regarding what we aredoing for the engine, I am really pleased. We are running the RV8Bengine and we are working on a new evolution. We are doing a lot oflong runs. Yesterday (at The California Speedway test in late June)we have done with one engine more than 450 miles and today we aretrying to go more than 500 miles. It is running really well. St.Louis was a very low point, we had a lot of problems with the engine. We are really recovering very strong. I have seen a lot ofinvolvement from Toyota both in Japan and TRD in Costa Mesa. Thatmeans a lot to me. It means our program is stepping forward veryfast."
