During a CART teleconference today, Dan Gurney announced the 1998 AllAmerican Racers driver lineup. Come 1998, the drivers will actuallyall be Americans: Gurney confirmed today that next to PJ Jones hewill be fielding a car for the 1997 Toyota Atlantics Champion AlexBarron. Barron replaces Juan Fangio II, who recently announced hisretirement from racing.
Jones and Barron will compete with Reynard/Toyota Firestone package. Barron is thesecond confirmed rookie for the 1998 season. Carl Hogan recently announced JJ Lehto to behis '98 driver.
