Roger's interpretation of the rules seen in California light

We are told that this car was one second faster than the '98 Reynard at Laguna Seca during extensive tests this week. Only the people whotimed every lap at the track will know that for sure.

It looks fast for sure; below is a close look at how the new 'high nose' of the '98 Penske is really shaped. The photocomes to us from Dave Gallegos who was not aware that this car was supposed to be a secret until Spring Training.

Seen from this angle and with the beautiful California light that brings out the fibers in the unpainted body panels, thecar looks much less radical than earlier photos (in poor light) suggested.
