Chief designer of Swift to work on Eagle David Bruns, formervice president of engineering at SwiftEngineering, Inc. has joined Dan Gurney's AllAmerican Racers as Senior Design Engineer forAdvanced Projects. Bruns, a graduate of ArizonaState University, has designed cars for FormulaFord, Super Vee and Formula Atlantic competitionwhich have won a combined 40 national andinternational championships. Most recently, hewas the chief designer for the 1997 and '98 ChampCar program at Swift. "We are extremely pleased that David Bruns hasdecided to join our organization," Gurney said."We were unaware that the possibility existed,and when we found out that he was available, wedidn't hesitate to offer him a position as asenior member of our design team."
