PG Cup points leader Greg Moore ishellbent on coming out of Rio retaining his lead position in the battle for thecoveted championship series trophy. Forsythe Racing’s Moore and teammatePatrick Carpentier are fired up heading into Round 5 of the FedEx ChampionshipSeries, the Rio 400, at the Emerson Fittipaldi Speedway at Nelson PiquetInternational Raceway this Sunday, May 10th.

Vancouver native Moore, 23, CART’s youngest pole sitter and race winner, isfocused on acquiring points, points, and more points as he keeps his sightshoned on taking the prestigious honor of becoming CART’s youngest champion.Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve currently holds the title as CART’syoungest champion [1995, age of 24].

"I’m really looking forward to the Rio track. We led the race there in 1996,and finished 2nd in 1997. We hope to be in a position to challenge for thewin," said Moore. "We’ve definitely been strong all season, and I’m just goingto stay focused on winning the championship."

Forsythe’s newest addition of talent this year, Carpentier, 26, of Quebec, CART’s1997 Rookie of the Year, is still buzzing from the thrill of capturing hisfirst CART pole position and setting a new track record during the Bosch SparkPlug Grand Prix held at the Nazareth Speedway.

Despite being plagued during the Nazareth race by pit stop problems, anddehydration from a cold causing dizziness and vision problems, Carpentier knowshe and the Forsythe Blue Crew have what it takes to win races.

"I am looking forward to the race in Rio de Janeiro. In 1997, I was caught upin an unfortunate accident before the start of the race," said Carpentier. "Wehad a great weekend at Nazareth; we had a pole position with a very fast lap.My car was perfect for qualifying! I think that in Rio, if the car is as goodand I do good pit stops too, we will be very competitive and very fast."
