Team very optimistic about next event

Forsythe Racing drivers Greg Moore and PatrickCarpentier have their sights set on a Forsythe two-spot podium finish when thesun sets at the Motorola 300, Round Six of the FedEx Championship Series.

Carpentier netted his career-best finish by taking 2nd place at last year’sinaugural Motorola 300. Late in the race Carpentier led for 25 laps and washeading for his first CART victory when he was forced to conserve fuel, allowingPaul Tracy to pass on the last lap for the win. This weekend Carpentier hopesto better his efforts of last year and come home with a win.

"Your first victory is always special. Last year was so close. I thought forsure we were going to win, but we had to conserve fuel in order to finish therace. But this year I’m going after the win," said Carpentier. "We’ve had ourups and downs this season, but I’m pretty confident that we’re going to turnthings around and have a great season."

PPG Cup championship points leader Moore believes consistency is the key towinning the prestigious championship title. And in his case, he’s lettingactions speak louder than words. He has finished among the top six drivers inthe first five events, and has landed podium finishes at Miami (2nd), Nazareth(3rd) and Rio de Janeiro (1st.)

"Everyone says it’s still early in the season to say who’s going to win thechampionship, but I believe in being focused from the beginning and allthroughout the season," said Moore. "I’m really looking forward to the Motorola300. We’re coming off of our first win [Rio] this season, and the Blue Crew andI are still hyped about that. Even though we haven’t tested here this year[Gateway International Raceway], I really like the track and am comfortablehere. Hopefully we’ll be able to be up on the podium again."
