Team will expand to two cars for 1999Derrick Walker has signed 32-year old Japanese driver Naoki Hattori to drive a second Walker Reynard-Honda on Goodyear tires next year beside Walker Champ car team leader Gil de Ferran. Hattori has raced for Barry Green's team in the Indy Lights series the past two years. He won two Formula Nippon races in 1996, was the All Japan Touring Car champion in 1993, and started the Japanese and Australian GP F1 races in 1991. Hattori was Japanese Formula 3 Champion in 1990. No details were announced about Hattori's sponsorship package, but Walker confirmed that the money was in the bank. |
