The broadcast will be anchored by Internet veteran Jim Murphy. In additionto his normal role as the pit announcer for the CART Radio Network, Murphywrites for Indy Car & Championship Racing Magazine. He previously anchoredthe live coverage of the CART Budweiser 500K from Motegi, Japan this pastMarch.

"Our previous experiences with cybercasting CART races have been verypositive," said Murphy. "I have been pleasantly surprised by the level ofinterest displayed during our previous cybercasts. I only expect that theinterest and excitement level during this event will be even higher, providing further evidence that the Internet - while still a new medium - isa viable tool for bring racing and race fans together. I'm especiallyappreciative of the support provided by Mercedes-Benz and Firestone.Because of their technical wherewithal and vision for the sport, they havebeen behind this project from there very beginning."

The Cybercast will begin at 11:45 p.m. EDT, 9:45 p.m. PDT Saturday evening, even though the race will be run at 2pm Sunday local Australian time owingto the time difference between the United States and Australia.
