All the new cars seem to go to Sebring first. This is now the final "world premiere" photo of a 1999 CART FedEx Championship SeriesChassis we believe. Penske was running a carbon-fiber black chassis with wings from the '98 car, sporting Marlboro logos just on those parts. That leaves the question open as to who will sponsor the car in '99. Penske has not made any announcements. AndreRibeiro was not seen during the tests at Sebring.

While all eyes (and cameras) were following the Penske, Newmann Haas was also present at the track, running what appears to bethe new Swift (hard to tell these new cars apart). The car was rolling on Goodyear rubber, just as the Penske. This should end the rumors about Newman Haas possibly switching to Firestone rubber.

Earlier last week, Team Kool Green was testing their '99 Reynard at Sebring as well.Dario Franchitti drove a car that featured several painted body parts from the '98 car. It appears that especially the wingsfrom the '98 models are going to be carried over unchanged into the next season.
