Press Release: CART partners with Momo Grand Prix

The excitement and adrenaline-pumping excitement of kart racing has caught the attention of yet another sponsor. CART, (Championship Auto Racing Teams) has decided to partner with the 1999 Momo Grand Prix.

CART owns, operates and markets the FedEx Championship Series, which is comprised of 20 races in five countries on four continents in 1999. There will also be a non-points race held in Hawaii at the conclusion of the season, pushing the event total to 21. CART also owns and operates its top two development series, the PPG Dayton Indy Lights Championship and the KOOL Toyota Atlantic Championship.

The 1999 Grand Prix scheduled for August 27-29 at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine California is shaping up to be one of the hottest kart races in the country. The three day event will include three days of non-stop racing action, Filming for ESPN2, dozens of exhibitor booths and the Bondurant SuperKart School Pro Celebrity Race, featuring; CART Champ Car drivers, Alex Barron and Robby Gordon along with several Hollywood celebrities.
