For a long time this was my 'photo of the year' contender. What I like the most is only visible in the large
version of this scan - the way the air flows over the front tires is revealed by the harsh backlighting coming from
the lake behind. The engine heat and turbulence behind the car is cool, too (you need a decent monitor to see all this).
This photo is 100% Cleveland - 7:30pm on Friday with the sun setting behind the runway, the cars are
still out there qualifying.
