	Maybe the title was a bit premature at Elkhart Lake, but here's a nice collectable champ photo anyway

Technical Info lens   :   600mm f4.0 with 2x extender body   :   EOS 1N  exposure   :   f8 1/250th sec film   :   Fuji SuperG 100asa flash   :   none support   :   monopod                               Photo Notes Road America approach to turn 6 - the cars come up that hill so fast, it takes good reaction time to get a shot of them as they pass through your focus plane (which is really short with a 1200mm lens). On occasion the car that wins the race also cooperates in turn 6... These photos are a simple gamble on the shutter button. shoot enough of them and a few will be in focus. Note the reflection of the white Toyota bridge across the top of the nose of the car.
