Laying flat on my belly in the exit lane area of the pits, to get low enough for the air gap below the car.
I saw dozens of cars backfire at exactly this spot on the track, as the drivers were lifting totally off the
throttle at low rpm's - but none of my photos caught one of the orange flames I saw. The heat is easier to
capture - at 1/500th of faster shutter speed you just freeze that boiling air
