Milwaukee Gallery Reader's Choice |
This gallery was smaller than the previous races, but special in that it had a set of 12 images of one incident. Ignoring this special set of images, we received votes for 17 out of 22 images as somebody's favorite image. Some people have asked what a "Cheesehead" is, while local Wisconsin people heavily voted for the Cheesehead shots - commenting that it looks real dorky on Blundell, just as it does on 60,000 heads in Lambeau Field when the Packers are playing. 'Cheesehead' is what Minnesotans call Wisconsintes (we have our own word for them...), and the yellow foam hats are the local answer to that. Allegedly it saves lives in plane crashes and drunken stupors when leaving a victorious Packer game... As another note - I marked the photos taken without press credentials with an "*" Probably the closest anyone can get to IndyCar action for free... My personal favorite in this selection was the impact shot of Zanardi - just because I know how much preparation and luck it took to actually nail the photo like that. Here the vote ranking for the Milwaukee Gallery - action shots on top in this gallery:
