I was on my "how to copy Paul-Henri Cahier's black backgrounds" mission Friday afternoon. This is shot with the same film he uses (Kodachrome), well underexposed to allow the trees to get dark, and to get me some additional shutter speed. Problem: afternoon light was already too diffuse and the trees are not solid black in the shadow, plus the heat on the track was softening up the focus of the cars over the long distance I had to shoot this at. Maybe at Elkhart...
