I did not know Jeff Krosnoff in person but I always thought of him to be
one of the most underestimated drivers in all of racing. After that long
time in Japan, with all those great performances that did not seem to earn
him the recognition he deserved, I was genuinely happy for him when I heard
he would be driving an IndyCar in 1996. I know that this must have been a
dream come true for him but still I can't help wishing he hadn't gotten
that drive- he might still be here.
I saw that crash on TV, and I instantly knew it was all over- just like
Imola 1994.
Today, a couple of months after Toronto, I still think of Jeff whenever I
watch a race.
Jeff, Roland, Ayrton- rest in peace.
