The car was a little bit unstable, but I'm sure everybody else has the same problem. But I'm pretty happy with second. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully, we can make the car better.

In the morning, we had a problem, right towards the end of the session. It was nobody's fault. It was a situation where one driver (ahead of Vasser) was trying to block traffic in order to create the opportunity for a clear lap for himself. Jimmy, in trying to pull out of my way, actually got in my way. It was just an unfortunate situation.

We made quit a few changes on the chassis but we still have some work to do. I think we're going to go back to our notes and see what we can come up with for tomorrow. The most important things are to have a comfortable set-up and to drive a clean, smart race. If we can accomplish this, we should have a decent finish tomorrow.

The car was good. I made a big mistake on my fastest lap in the last corner. I had Vitolo ahead of me and I touched the curb too much and I lost a lot of speed there. It was probably a couple of tenths that I lost. It's still top six though. If I look back at the last weekend, this is much better so I am happy. The team did a pretty good job and I just made a little mistake. It can happen. I'm upset with myself. It's a long race so top six is wonderful.

There is something wrong with the car. It’s not been tracking in a straight line. When I brake I have to add lock; when I accelerate I have to add lock. It bent a part on the left front upright which made it quite exciting trying to hold on to it. It broke as I was coming in for new tires. You can’t run the car quickly, so there’s no point.

I was fighting it the whole time. There is no grip in the car. I’ve got mid-apex understeer with big oversteer and wheelspin coming off the corner. I was just hanging out there. I’m off the walls on every corner.

It’s just too bad for the Forsythe Team. We had just gotten a good balance in the car, and I really felt we had a chance to do a quick lap. Unfortunately I went into Turn 3 too quickly and the brakes locked up. I went into the escape road, and the course workers pushed me back out on the track. That cost me an eight-minute penalty in the pit. Hopefully we can correct some of the understeer we’ve been experiencing all weekend and run a good race tomorrow.

There were too many incidents in our session, so we lost the time to make changes. We thought we'd be better off to just go out and try to make a good lap. I believe we could have given Greg a good fight for the pole today if we had just made a few changes to the car, but there's a lot of racing left this season. This is my favorite street/road course by far. They've done a great job. It's very wide, very challenging and very much fun to drive.

The car seems to be working better but we can still make a few changes before the race tomorrow. I think that Firestone has the edge on us this weekend, I guess that's why they call it a tire war.

We were very quick at the beginning of the session, and we made a little change and saw it was quicker still. Sunday it will be as fast as you can go for 200 miles.

We’ve worked so hard all year on our road and street course setup. We didn’t know what to expect coming into Detroit, our first street course of the season, but our testing seems to have paid off. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come. I can’t thank the Blue Crew enough. The guys turning the wrenches, they’re putting their life and soul into this team. They know we have a good shot at the PPG Cup championship.
