Jan Magnussen Makes IndyCar
Debut With Penske
Tracy Not Released By Trammell

SpeedNet reports that Penske driver, Paul Tracy, has not been cleared for the Mid-Ohio race and will be replaced by Jan Magnussen.

Tracy suffered a broken vertebra in his back at Michigan during a practice session two weeks ago. He was examined by Dr. Terry Trammell and was not cleared to drive this weekend. Paul will be re-examined next Wednesday prior to the race at Road America.

Once Paul Tracy returns to Penske (expected to return at Road America), then Jan will fill the seat vacated by Emerson Fittipaldi at Hogan-Penske Racing. Emmo broke his neck at Michigan and is out for the remainder of the season.

Hogan-Penske will not be fielding an entry at Mid-Ohio this weekend.
