Herta's team withdraws. Della Penna announces in Argentina that Fontana will drive for him. Looks like Richie has to watch from the pit wall. And there's
a new team in the making - Arciero-PRG (Project Racing Group, known from the past as Project Indy). They have Garcia Jr. with Hollywood
money and some other Brazilian funds, as well as Mercedes-Benz ready to back them. Press release is immanent.
3/15/00
Salles signs with Coyne for the second car, sonosr to be announced at first race. We also expect to see Luiz Garcia Jr.

1/23/00
Servia at PPI and Kanaan at MoNunn Racing will round out the field except for a possible rent-a-ride seat with Coyne. The
second Nunn car will at best appear later in the season. Ganassi is evaluating Lola Chassis (Toyota bought them for
the team) and will have them available as alternates to the Reynard.
1/16/00
Seems like the Herta/Kanaan swap is confirmed. Kanaan to Nunn, Herta to Swift/Forsythe/Arciero.

Mo Nunn's team officially announced. No surprises in the package. Allegedly the team will start as a one
car operation and expand to a second car once driver and staff are recruited.
12/02/99
Kanaan to drive the only Swift in field. Possible Arciero team deleted, as they will be part of the Forsythe Championship

11/22/99
Player's announces Ford engines
11/14/99
SpeedCenter received information that Richie Hearn may not be back at Della Penna for 2000. No word on the new driver yet, nor
where Richie is going...
11/12/99
This is becoming quite the "silly season" - more changes than in half a decade before this year. But things feel different
from before. Not a jockeying for a better ride type silly season, but a major shift in the fabric of CART. Two
of the veteran American drivers are going to Winston Cup, one to the IRL. That leaves us with just Andretti
and Vasser. Many open seats. Swift is building chassis as we speak - no word on who may buy them. Many chassis/engine
choices are not confirmed yet, either.
Gordon is going to NASCAR, moving his shop to Charlotte. Burger King Ford Taurus, Penske engines. Most of his crew isn't
following him.
11/11/99
Table brought up to date: Tire column dropped entirely, since Firestone is on all cars.
Hogan Team pulls out. Castro-Neves fills Moore's spot at Penske. Da Matta to be in Pioneer car in 2000
and Mo Nunn's possible Mercedes factory team added to list of vacancies.
Gurney's AAR still listed, but we have no idea what they will be doing in 2000. Rumors about
the team shutting down emerged 2 weeks ago.
Brack official at Rahal.
Jourdain/Herdez still looking at Bettenhausen or another team. The rest unchanged. Engines at some teams
listed could change (Forsythe to Ford was a recent rumor).
