Dan Gurney, Owner All American Racers
"I"m encouraged by our progress at
Sebring. Our team-mates at Toyota
Research and Development have worked really hard
these last few weeks and have given us a great deal of
support. Next week's test at Homestead should
provide us with even more information to work with."
Alex Barron, Driver #36 Toyota RV8D Eagle 997 (Goodyear)
"The AAR team made a big gain on
the car; in terms of time, we've improved
by over a second. The Goodyear tires have
progressed from our January test at Firebird. I feel that
we're going in the right direction and Iím looking
forward to adding mileage to the car at Homestead."
John Scherry, Team Manager
"The Eagle performs well on the track
and
there are significant improvements to
the Toyota RV8D engine. I believe our car is pretty
much on par with the other teams here. We also
conducted two different tire tests for Goodyear today.
Overall the team experienced no problems. Tomorrow
we leave for Homestead where we will convert the 997
to the configuration of that track in preparation for next
week's 3-day test."
