Welcome to SpeedCenter's Fantasy League!

Against the warnings and predictions of players who thought this league would be won by a low-budget driver pick combo, the last race of the season put a deserving combo in the winner's slot. Congratulation to Team "Reset Form Racing"

Coming from 5th place after round 19, "Reset Form Racing" jumped past several othercontenders into the lead. The Fittipaldi/Papis combo clearly had breakthroughseasons. Both outperformed their initial below average recruiting costs. Roberto Moreno,super-subbing for Fittipaldi, has his share in this fantasy team's success, too.

Obviously, the idea this season was not to have the two top points scorers to win thisfantasy. However, Franchitti and Montoya could have made a winning pair, had it not been for thelate season contacts eating into their earnings. The top finishing Franchitti/Montoya team was
247.   274   +27   510 Enterprises   Curtis Matthews    $ 1,168,655

While just about any Fittipaldi or Papis combo outperformed them. Why? We knew both of these drivers would earnwell this season. A few contacts less, and even this driver combo could have been in the running for the win.A $2 million difference translates in 2 chassis and a few motors.

For 2000, we will evaluate the results of this season, and make some earning adjustments. If the FantasyLeague goes into another season, it will change only slightly. We'll decide about the Y2K leagues some timeafter Spring Training.

Thanks to everyone for playing - SpeedCenter's own team of Papis/Kanaan finished in 131st spot.
